How do you know they are not going to announce Scottish shows later ? Maybe they need to finalise venue bookings ? Dublin not announced but I don't see folk crying about that
  2. Can anyone tell me by with company the Lisbon presale and sale will be, ticketmaster or another one?
  3. The problem with no show in Glasgow, means the the tour is missing a show with often the best crowd and atmosphere in Europe. Been to Italy, France, Holland, England and Ireland to see U2, and nothing beats an energetic Scottish crowd.

Everybody can say the same about most cities...it's completely subjective. I was at GNR & U2 both here in London last summer and crowds were amazing at both...
  5. Belfast in 2015 was unreal first time in town for almost 20 years , and just after the Paris attacks , emotionally charged shows .
Then the rearranged shows in Paris were equally as moving and atmospheric .
    Hard to top those shows

Difference is that while dates / venues are to be confirmed, we actually know that there will be shows in Dublin and Belfast with details to follow. Based on available info as of today, it's a fair assumption that any city not announced as a venue is unlikely to be added at a later date. It's more likely that the existing cities will get additional shows, but even that isn't a certainty.
  7. Try living in the south west of the UK- where a UK "tour" invariably means a 6 hour round trip to Stalag O2, where you get treated
Ike a criminal going into the place and then have to deal with the arenas insane health and safety once you get in or I get lucky and Birmingham gets a show, which is a more manageable 45 minutes away
  8. "Staged in the round, the eXPERIENCE + iNNOCENCE Tour is a development of the unique and innovative staging of  2015, featuring multiple performance areas, a state-of-the-art sound system, plus an all new super high-res LED screen nine-times the resolution of the 2015 screen" Pathetic hyperbole from U2 and the corporate monster that is Live nation U2 have moved so far away from what made them special and unique by aligning themselves with these money hungry corporations who have no interest whatsoever in anything but making millions from the band ,the tour is setup to play cities and countries that are a dead cert to sell 2 to 4 nights yet eastern Europe is completely ignored where they have a massive fanbase but choose to ignore due to financial logistics ,I dont see why they are playing the US again after doing an extensive tour there last year and it's come back to haunt them as ticket sales are very slow as most there are getting sick of seeing them so frequently with there overpriced rip off pricing stragedy all of these issues are down to Live Nation yes the band sign off on them but you'd have to wonder who's operating the controls within the organisation, since Paul McGuinness stepped aside the wheels have come off rapidly que the mess that will be the pre sale this week.
  9. I'm pissed off that Birmingham is constantly overlooked, it's the UK second city but nothing been there since elevation 2001 .
The O2 London I agree is a desperate venue and one I will avoid at all costs
  10. The US is spolied yes but even here in Toronto we are getting skipped over for the first time since October.

Yes, this is what I'm thinking on this, for those concerned, just sit tight for a bit and cross your fingers. U2 have pretty much treated Glasgow as a hometown show, because it pretty much is just that for them. Glasgow is often announced later on for a number of reasons, venue/logistics etc. IIRC the Elevation gigs were announced at the eleventh hour. I have a feeling as per Dublin / Belfast it's partially about minimising secondary market transactions and trying to ensure as many real fans from those cities and nearby get to see them as possible as a priority.

Yeah, I don't think they'll be back in Birmingham again tbh.
