    It is wholly unpredictable... I used album pre-sale for Paris 2 on Monday and the only standing available was RZ...it said FOSSE(GA) was Épuisé ie.GA Sold Out.
    It really is impossible to predict what is available & when, other than that the whole thing is a rip-off.
  2. I agree, I think the strategy although far from perfect is effective. GA is sort of in its own category and touts will probably still make money on them but it’s going to be hard to convince a fan to pay more than face value for the cheaper seats of the touts when there’s better seats available from the official sellers. I know I would rather pay £190 for a decent seat on ticketmaster than say £100 for a restricted view seat of viagogo or £130 for the second price level of seats. As the general sale hasn’t been yet this won’t be represented in the resale sites where people are panic buying but after Friday people will discover very few of the shows are completely sold out, at least that’s what I believe.


  3. I'm not sure that ripping people off asking £208 for a ticket in level 4 of the O2 Arena is "happy days". There are other ways to manage the tout problem- named tickets, photo ID at entry

    There is only one way go get a rid of the scalpers - not buying from them. It is not taht difficult. I have never paid more than a face value for a ticket in my life and I have seen all the concerts I wanted to see. Really.

    Agree, it would not be difficult to implement.

    That's not in Ticketmasters/LiveNations interests though. They want everyone to resell as many times as they can through their sites with their fees included

    really strange, i've been looking at the sales closely, where i've not seen GA (Mancjester, Milan, London etc) others have said they were available others have agreed and said none, Paris 2 GA has been available pretty much from minute 1 on the album sale, i'm wondering if people are offered different allocations initially when they log in at the peak times and them once the rush is over the entire allocation becomes available...is it a lottery that you even get offered GA / Certain seasts at log in regardless of whether they are sold ouut?

    Again i reiterate my point, 40,000 seast available for the 2 Paris Shows and there was loads of availabliity right through to 5pm yesterday, GA was available for both 1&2 across all 3 pre sales so far, U2 / Live Nation could easily have avoided with a 2 show per city strategy, more choice, more tickets, less frustration...seems to me they actually want touts to buy the tickets as Remy says to bump up the actual money made per ticket through original sale and then countless others.

    Seems daft for the sake of 1 week, as 100% more shows will get announced tomorrow / over the weekend.
