No "sudden" fascination from me at all. I've always said that it is barely reachable, one of their best releases and concerts ever.
Originally posted by drewhigginsFor the performance aspect, it'd be the best. For the best audio (not for the performance or camera work) it'd have to be Chicago 2001. The drums sound like they reverb and the beats are released quickly - just from the centre channel.
I suppose you mean Chicago 2005, but anyway I can't agree at all. Sound on Slane has the best Crowd/Music mix I ever had (even better than Sydney, and Sydney is great...). All 4 instuments come up clear and noisy, even though I detect something strange on Larrys drum. Never knew how to explain it tho.
  2. Let's face it - All 5 official concert DVDs are compulsory viewing.

Yeh. Popmart Mexico more for the just getting to see what Popmart was like than the performance though. They filmed Chile aswell, why wasn't that released instead of Mexico? what do you guys think? i though Bonos voice was kinda shite in Mexico and the band was only ok. but Chile is a great show!

all the DVDs a worth watching thouh!

Santiago in it's current state is maybe better than any of the official releases. It would be thee best if U2 got their hands on the proper masters and worked on it a little.

Let's hope they dress up like that again. A 62-years Bono with the muscle Tshirt must be fucking funny

They do always do a practice run at filming a show before they do the real one. Perhaps Chile was the dress rehearsal?

might have been had it not been filmed over 2 months after Mexico. The 1st Mexico show was the dress rehearsal
