1. Thanks Fano and Hawkmoon,I got Innocence presale Belfast tickets but no print tickets option there for me yet.

Correction-just read my confirmation email more closely, says I need to access on a computer to be able to download tickets.Ive been looking using my phone so will try later on laptop!

  2. Of course its possible. All Ticketmaster sites can share a list of all presale codes being used for tickets to U2.com. They can cross-check and act accordingly. I have also seen cases where already distributed tickets were cancelled, they can just invalidate the barcodes.

This has been done in the past. Not saying it will happen again but there's always a risk/chance.

Being 2 am and having to make snap decisions re locations I never really thought about the rule about 2 tickets 1 show only, and the code worked fine. I now wonder about the audit and risk of losing the tickets if and when that will happen. That said the whole presale thing was such a shambles i cant imagine U2.com or Ticketmaster being capable of even running an audit ...

This should be fine, even if they audit You held onto your max of 2 tickets. The 'rule' was more because some Ticketmaster sites invalidated your code after one use, whether you used it for 1 or 2 tickets.

  4. I don't think much bad happened there. It was obvious that more than 60/70% of tickets went to presales. So then a small arena show is sold out in a matter of seconds.

It doesnt seem to be obvious to alot of people.
All the papers in Ireland are printing the usual stuff hammering Seatwave here ,despite the fact Seatwave arent even selling tickets.
Its just lazy journalism ,the usual "How can there be tickets up on resale sites before Fridays general sale" , "Its a disgrace" ,"Genuine fans cant get tickets" etc .
Have these journalists ever heard of presales ???
    Supply and Demand ??

Why dont they write an article outlining Viagogos scandalous sales practices or question Livenations monopoly ,or the outrageous price of Platinum tickets ,650 euro for upper tier seats in the 3arena .
Nope that would be too much work ,lets just have another rant .

Exactly. Focus on Viagogo's fees, the fact that people can resell above face value, Ticketmasters interest in reselling etc. But don't do the lazy journalism wondering how tickets can be sold before general sale
  8. For Live Nation it will be THAT easy. You really think they would follow any standards or quality management rules or whatever?
The same high qualtiy standards they use to "stop scalpers" and make tickets available for "normal fans" I suppose.

They rechecked ticket buyers thru presales in the past, which resulted in tickets cancelled that were bought absolutely correct with 2 u2com accounts but it happened that they were spouses and had the same adress and used the same creditcard with different TM accounts.
You see - they can easily do that without worrying about standards and rules.
Live Nation always does their own rules.
  9. I am considering Selling tickets at lower value than the face one.

Viagogo are evil ,their sales practices are truly vile .
Most of the tickets on their site are speculative or ghost tickets, they do not exist at the time of purchase.
They will fulfill the order at a later date when the price is lower ,if they cant they will just tell the buyer ,sorry your order couldnt be fulfilled ,here is your refund.
The vast majority of the rest of the tickets they sell through power brokers that are bought by Viagogo staff using multiple credit cards or else allocated directly by the promoter.
Then they pay Google to bump them up the search results for events and claim they are the official site .
By law they have to list the tickets section and row as well as face value ,they flout all of this .
They dont display their fees clearly either .

They got state funding off the Irish government for their base in Limerick but at the same time the Govt are trying to ban touting in Ireland ,its a complete farce.

Have a look at this video about Viagogo ,they are the pits

I saw loads of people sobbing aoutside Croke Park last year that their tickets were fake ,had paid a fortune to Viagogo ,flown from the States ,I really felt sorry for them .
