    I think we all welcome critical reflections on a band we all love. And personally I think that retirement of U2 is neither a "negative," nor a "positive" thing.     But right now "U2 retirement" it is only speculation and not really substantiated other than the fact that they're not getting any younger. I wouldn't mind if they continue another twenty year. I had a great time last year seeing the Stones for instance. But I also know that there are die-hard Stones fans who would rather have seen them retire 20 years ago.
    And in fact speculation about the Stones retirement is even older than U2 is in buisiness

    So speculatate what you want, and feel however you want to feel about it.
    Agree, it's neither super nor bad if this is the natural case.

    It's probably more like companies such as LiveNation who see the demand in tickets increase with rumours of retirement: "This Could Be The Last Tour Ever"... is great advertisement...just sayin'

    Although in this case I still think it is just random firing in order to attract interest and "hits" to their site(s).
