    Today it is exactly 40 years ago that Larry, Bono, Adam and Edge officially changed the name of their band from The Hype to U2.

    It was on the occasion of the Limerick Civic week Pop '78 contest. Which they won the next day and so earning there first demo recording session at CBS. I say: "and the rest is history!"
