    You are impressively rude
  2. don't get too excited, you'll all get bored with the setlist after a couple of shows, no matter what they play . That's pretty much guaranteed. Just make sure you have a good time at the day(s) of your show(s), drink a couple of beers and I'm sure U2 will do their part (as always). The setlist doesn't matter that much.

I don’t get bored of u2 that easily but I agree that making a day of it when going to see them really adds to it all. I can’t wait to go to London again and go for a few pints before the show, Twickenham was an amazing day and there’s something about being away from the usual surroundings that makes it a more interesting day all round. Don’t get me wrong when I’ve seen u2 in Glasgow the shows have been great not least the most recent occasion but the day as a whole couldn’t compare to Twickenham. The only thing I’d say that does matter about the Setlist is we’re getting to see at least something new, seeing a good few SOE songs is the main thing about this tour, that’s what will keep the Setlist different from any other tour regardless of what else features, I suspect they’ll be at least a few surprises thrown in as well but regardless I’m just about certain that it’s going to be an amazing couple of nights, I’m just gutted I need to wait til October to see it but I’ll be listening in to shows before then and watching videos on YouTube. Excited about it being so close to the start of the tour.
  4. I'm just looking forward to seeing some new songs played live, I enjoyed JT30 but felt it lacked a little of that "U2 unpredictability". I know the tours these days are more choreographed but still on I+e we got some pretty good surprises every now and then. I was lucky to catch a couple of stellar shows across the 4 I got to see. As Deanallison said, I love going to different places to see them. I'm from London but not got any UK/IRE tickets I'm off to both Berlin and Cologne, for a U2/Germany week away. I will watch how the set-list develop through the US leg and look forward to 4 great in-door shows that will/should take a big step up for the I+e shows. You never know I might even get some decent recordings as well

if they keep a sort of homecoming, dirty day, the playboy mansion in every setlist till South America tour, i will never get bored. But that's impossible anyway
  6. I'm expecting from the new album:

SOE: Best Thing. GOOYOW, American Soul, Blackout, LIBTAIIW, The Showman, and maybe Little Things since they have experience from the last tour.

    Also expecting:

Streets, Until the End of the World, Sunday and One or WOWY as locks to be in it.

    My wish list though:

Early songs: 11 O'clock Tick Tock, Two hearts, A Sort of Homecoming, Wire

90's songs: Horses, The Fly, Acrobat, Lemon, Discotheque, If God Will Send His Angels

2000s songs: Stuck in a Moment, When I look at the World, Miracle Drug, Original of the Species, Crumbs, Magnificent and Stand up Comedy

SOI: California, Every Breaking Wave (full electric) and Miracle

Most won't happen but might get surprised with a few.
  7. *Love Is All We Have Left over PA (Bono Solo)*
    1. The Blackout/Lights of Home
    2. Lights of Home/The Blackout
    3. Vertigo/Elevation
    4. Beautiful Day
    5. Red Flag Day/California
    6. Kite/Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own
    7. Get Out of Your Own Way
    8. American Soul
    9. Pride/New Years' Day
    10. Until the End of the World

    *Intermission - Lemon Perfecto Mix*
    11. The Fly (inside screen)
    12. Discotheque/Zoo Station (e-stage)
    13. You're the Best Thing About Me (e-stage)
    14. Staring at the Sun/Stay (e-stage)
    15. Stuck in a Moment (e-stage)
    16. Every Breaking Wave
    17. Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses
    18. Summer of Love (likely a re-mix of some kind)
    19. With or Without You
    20. One

    21. The Little Things That Give You Away (Bono and Edge on e-stage)
    22. All I Want is You
    23. Where the Streets Have No Name
    24. Love is Bigger Than Anything in its Way (13 snippet/outro)

I think this would be a good mix; 9 (potentially 10 depending on the rotation) SoE songs, 4 from the 80's, 6 from the 90's and 4 from the 00's, plus a couple from SoI. I could see Bullet popping up on the US tour but being switched up for the European leg.

I could live with this setlist. I'd like to see Gone this tour, but I couldn't complain one bit with your setlist.
  9. I’ve got a bit of a conundrum with this album: it’s longer than most (13 songs as opposed to 11) and typically U2 play the majority of songs from an album. So does that mean instead of 6-8 SOE songs nightly we’ll see 7-10 since there are more? It seems reasonable but that would be about one third of the set. Also, I’m having a hard time reckoning what songs they won’t play: Landlady seems most likely to me, I could see Love Is All We Have Left sitting out, and Summer of Love but if that’s the next ‘single’ as it seems to be, they will probably want to play it. I thought that Love Is Bigger would be a miss as well but after the BBC special I have completely changed my mind. So how are they going to build a set with these songs?

Perhaps because overall they’re shorter songs than typical for U2 they’ll fit more in. Many of them are 3-4 minutes, none more than 5 minutes, which is about how long a lot of U2 songs run live.

I think we’ll get at least 8 from SOE each night but it depends what we’re counting because I could see Love is all we have left being pa only for the intro which doesn’t really count and summer of love remix being intermission which doesn’t really count but I think they’ll be 8 on top of them. I don’t expect landlady either, I think showman could be one of the songs that gets played once in a while and 13 maybe occasionally also, but blackout, lights Of home, GOOYOW, Best Thing, American soul, love is bigger, red Flag Day and Little Things I think will be played every night.

Summer of love won't be played over a PA it's one of the best song's on the album and is slated as a single in the coming weeks.

We’ll see, I think playing it over the pa the band will see that as it being represented live. I’d prefer the album version actually played but don’t think I’ll get my preference.
