  1. I’m not particularly excited or put off by this idea. It seems like it’s only for the opening song and could well be love is all we have left which isn’t really being performed live anyway so once the band take the stage the app becomes useless and the people that always brought out there phones during the gig will do so and the people that keep there phone in there pocket like me will have it back in there pocket.
  2. I really like the idea of promoting the use of smartphones through such gimmicks before the start of the show. First, because the waiting is less boring. Second, because that would certainly drain lots of batteries and that hopefully means less smartphones by the time the show starts
  3. Surely they are also going to use it for Bono's "speech" and then he can come down among, lay virtual hands on, spread the ten commandments according to Bono, maybe part the red sea on a nightly basis. Maybe they could have the stone roses I am the resurrection playing at the same time.

    I would have paid to see adam and larry's face when this was brought up. "right lads the plan for this tour is virtual Bono is going to appear on everyones phone's like some take over the world villian from a very bad hollywood movie".

  8. If it's not gonna be used only for the opening song, then that's somewhat good, in the sense that people will not use their phones ALL the time, because now they will be worried about the battery. But if it's only for the opening song, that's all the AR visuals we're gonna get ?
  9. I would only like it if its during some pre recorded opening song, with a lot of visuals on the screen and in AR.

    Then it will be the opposite of the minimalistic opening from Innocence.

    Would be dissapointed if it's during Blackout.
