  1. drop SBS - yes, put in Streets - maybe, but not necessary, put in WOWY- no

What I really don't get is Bono lipsynching at the start, at least it looks as if he is not singing live. If that's the case, ugh, it's bad.
Is it really that bad? What are you, 5 years old?

Maybe he was getting into it, this song was played only through PA throughout rehearsals as well. It's auto-tuned, which fits the vibe of this track and I doubt they would replicate it so well live.

Stop whining about nonsense. The crying myriad of 'Streets' lovers has been calling the Waaahmbulance all morning instead of enjoying Acrobat or 20 other songs performed yesterday.

I enjoy Streets but hasn't there been more than one performance already where this song has peaked in awesomeness? Is it really that bad if they retire it for a while? For the sake of 'fresh feels' later, anybody?
  3. The lip sync must be to do with the AR section I suppose
  4. My main annoyance us that they aren't playing the SOE stuff that I like and the SOI stuff is a copy and paste from 2015. That's a whole lot of the show. We'll see how it morphs in the coming months but I can't see the SOI portion being jigged at all.

Otherwise I'm going to take a step back until Berlin.
  5. Yep, it's a real shame that Little Things, Red Flag Day and Landlady aren't in the setlist.... While some of the shit song on SOE are in there.
  6. I’m sure others will be introduced at some point
  7. I don't think any of you realise the lengths I went to this afternoon (I'm in New Zealand) to watch the semi-live streams and catch the banter on here during this concert. Somehow I caught most of the concert while still managing to look professional and interested.

    My observations:
    1. Lose the lip sync.
    2. Keep the SOI sequence, but adapt it for cities where it's been seen before.
    3. Larry is wearing his glasses.
    4. Glad there's no Streets.
    5. Great transitions.
    6. Love the entire artistic progression and unwillingness to be safe.
    7. Best ending yet. Quiet. Dignified.
    8. The light bulb idea was great.
    9. No annoying/awkward Meerkat sequence.

All up, fantastic. The album and live show work together.

  8. I really like the concept of not playing any Joshua Tree songs this time. When I look at the setlist I see the Innocence and Experience concept. I like that.

Acrobat seems to have a fixed spot with the McPhisto visuals. I'm not sure about Wild horses. It could be easily skipped, since it's played on the main stage.

We'll see what the tour brings and how it develops. My first stop will be Berlin at the end of August.. Perhaps they fit in Zoo Station at Berlin 2.

    No need to get offensive.
I don't like lip synching. You don't mind it. Agree to disagree?

If you read my previous posts you'll see that I'm not a whiner. I like the show's concept, the setlist and generally have a positive attitude towards what U2 as artists decide to do. However, there's one thing that I don't like and that's miming. If the vocals are prerecorded and Bono doesn't move his mouth it's okay by me. But miming is not. But it doesn't take away from enjoying the show from song no. 2 on.

    I like your style!

Looks like 3 absolutely huge songs live. 2 of which I haven't seen. I'm praying that Acrobat survives all the way through Europe, & hoping to see Exit one day (as I'm in Oz most of the time).
