Yeah im glad I'm not the only who picked up on that comment. I've seen U2 33 times since 1992. Been a hardcore fan since the 80's and have been collecting U2 bootlegs since the 80's and like many here have an unthinkable amount of hours listening to U2. And from that... I know when they're having an off-night. It's a rarity but it happens. Last night was definitely an off-night, lots of unusual sloppy mistakes.

I think there are a couple of things that factor into that. Still finding their feet with the show, a little bit rusty still too perhaps and yeah even a little bit nervous, might take 5 or 6 shows for them to start finding their feet, and I've no doubt we're going to see some movement and chopping and changing in the setlist.

To me, it's no big deal that they had an off night, especially when you take into account all the great nights they've had down the years, and I'm sure it was still extremely enjoyable if you were there. But they definitely had an off-night, and for 3 songs to get dropped to make room for a shortened version of 'NYD' is a bit of an eyebrow raiser to say the least. But to go round saying people have low-esteem because they're picking up on such things is a wee bit strange and ridiculous to say the least.

Bono - "THIS IS AMERICA, IT'S AN IDEA! Here's Elevation..."

Yeah , but they played SBS, NYD ,PRIDE, VERTIGO ,ELEVATION, BEAUTIFUL DAY ,I WILL FOLLOW, ALL from last JT2017 tour , But NO JT songs how does that make any sense???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

  3. Yes odd. Plenty of songs were played every night on TJT and are still in the set. Plus St. Louis JT show was canceled so if they were gonna bring out any songs, last night would of been a logical choice.
  4. someone’s gotta tell them to bring wild horses back
  5. Would have been nice too get some of this on this tour?

Yes absolutely. Plus to be fair, not every show was under a microscope (or a periscope haha) back in the day. I’m sure there are tons of off nights we never even heard. It’s normal. What bothers me are the choices that were made before they even hit the stage.

    This
  9. And what’s with the chopped up version of Iris?
  10. Will Bono ever start properly singing LIAWHL or is he doing it because of the app?

    *sigh*
  11. I guess they don't want to reuse the "Free yourself to be yourself" given Lights Of Home has been played merely 5 songs before. Can't blame them...

they shouldn't have reused that crappy lyric in the first place, oh well
