I get it if you’re only going to one show, but they did have screans that showed the visuals.
+100 to seats behind the stage

  2. What a disgrace.
  3. I would feel so, so, so pissed if the tickets I have worked so hard to get suddenly began being sold for 70% less of what I paid as a loyal fan.
  4. What a shambles. Overwhelming demand.

But it has played out exactly like they said. Fleece those panic buying during in sale day 1 or presale then filter the tickets down the price range as the show approaches.
  5. Certainly reduces the value of u2.com memberships A LOT!
  6. I've read a lot about ticket prices dropping for US shows over the past few years on Stubhub - is this the same for the UK? Looking for London 2, is it worth holding off until nearer the time?
  7. Disgusts me honestly. What a horrible practice. It’s not only u2. The bands have to speak up and stop this shit. Loyal fans getting absolutely screwed.

Europe's a different story, mate. Here, most shows sold out in minutes while in the US none of them did (incredible and impressive stat for U2). Here there'll be the odd ticket drop and eventually a price drop for shows that ain't sold out, but I wouldn't count on big drops like in the US. There they have no alternative, it's either a big price drop or full sections totally empty. They're even gonna block with big curtains some sections in Chicago (CHICAGO!! A classic U2 fort).

  9. Sherry is doing a great work with all this research on ticket availability. Look at this, LOOK AT THIS.

    It's New York, it's Madison Square Garden. It's U2.

    Disgraceful.

So much for the "slow sale" strategy, eh?

Im looking for a GA for London and Manchester 2. My game plan is to keep checking Ticketmaster etc for tickets. If that fails, keep an eye out on social media, if that fails I'll look at prices on stub hub etc and see if they are "reasonable". If they're not, then Im literally going to walk up and down the GA line on the day of the show asking if anyone has spares, and try the box office on the day.
