  4. Absolutely amazing version, I dont know what came up in Bono's mind on that performence, maybe he wanted to save the song because of the messy begenning with the lyrics....
    And suddenly he just remembered how he used to sing it in the 80s, this just shows that he still is capable to sing like this.
  6. What chrisedge means is that calling it "bootleg" is not technically right since bootlegs are usually illegal recordings and/or recordings that are sold for a profit. I personally agree but I find myself using "bootleg" more often than not, it's a word that's not easy to escape as it's convenient to use

    I agree totally. It's just one of those terms you use for brevity and lack of a better word... and most folk my age don't do the digispeak...
  8. So, now that 1st show is up and I can give my first proper listen to the set... does anyone else think ABOY is an odd, random selection?

    Not saying I don't like it... I do. It just makes me wonder how the light bulb came on in rehearsals that said "let's do that one"

    I guess it ties in to early reflection. I remember the vertigo tour was where they revisited a lot of boy songs.

    Many obscure-song-resurrections are random What if they had eventually performed One Step Closer in the past tour, after all that extensive rehearsal? Not only an obscure song, but also a never-played one. What about Scarlet in 2011? And Miracle Drug in 2015? God only knows what's on their minds when they start rehearsing for each tour, because sometimes the choices are weird as hell. Maybe they must have a list of their own songs and just select a few random ones they feel attached to or something.
