    95% of ppl who attend only see the show once so it makes no difference to the masses.

  4. Therefore to drop it after one outing is a) pathetic and b) disrespectful to future audiences who may have been more responsive to it than the statues in tulsa.

    But as remy says there were unsold tickets at many venues and the first setlist and reviews would have gone a long way to putting a few more bucks in the bank.
  5. you're not sting in disguise are you - I had this discussion with him about ten years ago. If a band is playing single stop outdoor shows a few hundred miles apart this will be true. If they are playing consecutive nights or a three/four/five night bunch then a lot of people who live in the area or who have travelled will catch multiple shows because it's more cost effective.

    Agreed . I gave up on much variation in '85 lol
    Wild Horses is one and done huh, and what happened to All Because Of You ? Dropped already ? Hmmmm I hope it returns .
    I like that the band are playing numerous tracks from the new album , but why not play Landlady (after Cedarwood R) and Little things ? Those are my 2 favorite tracks off the album and IMO they are by far the best tunes from it .
    The fact that it took 27 years for the band to bust out Acrobat is borderline criminal , but hey they are finally playing it so kudos
    I fear Mysterious Ways to creep back into the set (We know it will) for my LI and NYC gigs , to go along with Elevation BD COBL and Vertigo . Give me The Fly please with Wild Horses NYD and Bad .
    Watch they drop Acrobat for the played out boring Mysterious Ways because Bono spots that 1 fan who doesn't know what song it is...

    Particularly for a place like Las Vegas, I agree - this is a place where people travel, and I could totally see people making a weekend of this to see both shows (I am).

  12. i don't doubt, the band thinks or feels only commercial and residencies tour like shows for 80 years old people in Vegas, always same setlists , no improvisations, only snippets are different, all shows, except rare exceptions, are full programmed from first to last song around a table ,but once only once. Sure they will play in 2021 for Achtung baby, live nation and Guy Oseary want it , there is a contract, for sure no new album for many years, but an Achtung Baby remastered , deluxe, virtual with app like now, boxset- deluxe oh well i can bet 10000 bucks with all of you. Nice version of Vertigo played in the last nights? Oh well you know how many haters are there about Vertigo since 2004? And the four mates play this song too much, in the last (2005-2009/2010-2015-2017-2018) 5 tours or am i wrong? By everybody, i wil be in Milan for two nights next october, my last nights with u2, for sure.
