    I like it where it is now:

    Since the show opens up with 3 new "unknown" songs, #4 works as a wake-up call, and I think BD was wasted in that spot, while IWF works so much better.

    At the same time, IWF + (RFD) + Gloria work great as build up so the people is at the right spot when Beautiful Day's first notes chime in.

    It's a mini-show on its own, 1-3 intro, 4-6 build up, 7 climax, and then a small "break" (emotional/intensity break) with the instrumental Ocean.
  3. About set-list parties, yes the rotation matters a lot, BUT ALSO that we're not in 2011 or even 2015 anymore...

    I can perfectly follow the show without opening up the forum, and I found that a lot more complicated a couple of years ago (periscope and meerkat were just starting).
    Now the show threads are even a bit of an inconvenience because I have enough periscope and mixlr links and twitter works even a bit faster with so many people posting what's going on.

    I don’t think the order matters to me as much as the fact they’ve brought beautiful Day back to its best orginal form. I didn’t dislike the JT style version but putting beautiful Day early in the set in the way it was played last night keeps the energy high. The order doesn’t bother me too much because I think I will Follow and Gloria also keep the energy high.

    I like SOE, but the new songs in ZooTV and Popmart were much stronger. Even if they played the same show, we probably would still tune in to see how awesome Mofo, The Fly, UTEOTW, Please, Gone, etc. are live.

    I’m a big fan of SOE but I think I agree I’d be more interested in both the popmart and zoo tv shows. Zoo tv for obvious reasons because I think it’s there best album and best tour and even though I rate SOE above pop I think they’ve not chose the best songs to play from SOE but they played the best pop songs on Popmart.
  8. I was at the show last night. First of this tour. I thought the band did very well. I thought the crowd was lame. Hardly anyone cheered along with the songs. Few people, even in GA, bounced when appropriate.

    I also thought the music and sound quality was great but they made some debatable artistic choices. Most notably, starting the concert hidden inside the screen was very disjointing. I didn't feel really into the concert until several songs into it. Last time Bono walking down to The Miracle was much more engaging even if the song isn't that great.

    Acrobat was a little muddy but how wonderful to finally hear it live.

    Overall the worst thing of the night was the parking. It was unbelievably ridiculous. We were at the Forum at 7:30. It took AN HOUR to park the car; we were literally running inside and made it just as they turned off the lights and started the intro song. Ridiculous. Forum parking needs to get its act together.

    Heading back tonight. Seriously contemplating taxis/Ubers. Just afraid of surge pricing.

    About this "hidden inside the screen", where were you located?
    For what I've seen in the videos, my impression is that the people centered in front of the screen can see the band inside it, but you can't see them from an angle, is this somehow true?

    Well you can’t see anyone for the first half, unless you’re in the screen. Then for the second half mostly everyone can see them.
