    certainly!!
I believe I could be the happiest man on earth... but it'll never happen in a short term for me... at least never next year....
  2. if it really will happen and they will play Slane.... it's a dream coming through. And I know who will give everything to be there

as for my favorites -- besides Slane, that is -- it's two places from the Vertigo tour, where I saw them live. Both Germany.

first, Arena Auf Schalke (Gelsenkirchen). Great sound on the 2005 concert there were 70.000 people inside

    (during the U2 concert)

second, Olympiastadion Munich -- the construction over one half of the seats kind of "echoes" the sound and multiplies it.... can't really explain it, but it gave me the shivers in 2005 there were 77.000 people in the stadium. including me

    (again, during the U2 concert)

Slane needs a big profile boost. It's went downhill slightly with the Eminem cancellation etc. It does seem to soon for U2 to hit Slane again though. Here's hoping. . .

yeh. i missed out on croke park because my pc crashed while i was trying to buy them and then when i went to check dates in the UK i found the tickets had were sold out there too so I'm desperate to get to at least one show next time round. If funds allow i might try and get to all of the UK and Ireland dates. I've a lot of catching up to do!
  7. Fenway Park in Boston would be my ideal:

Paradise Rock Club, where they played on the Boy Tour:

Orpheum Theater where they played on the War Tour:

is this the "a club called Paradise.... 20 years ago..." that Bono talks about?
would be great if they'd return there for a concert. history re-lived

another one came to my mind, saw this on Wednesday during the soccer game Barca vs S04:

Camp Nou Stadium, Barcelona. They said 98.000 people for a soccer game. Makes over 100.000 for a concert

And I've seen Muse at the new Wembley, the acoustics are amazing and I'd love to see U2 there on the next tour.

And I agree about Cardiff Millenium stadium too, having seen Vertgo there. Brilliant place.

Arghhhh,Wembley Stadium. So many memories of that place.First went there in 1977 for a League Cup Final Everton v Aston Villa (0 - 0),went to 2 replays in the end ,but anyway.Sat on wooden benches for that game,YES wooden fuckin benches !! Had splinters in my arse for days This pic just shows how much of a shithole it became in the end, well overdue to be pulled down in 2000 when it finally did.No finer sight than when you come onto the North Circular Road off the M1 and see the Twin Towers in the distance, shends shivers down your spine at the first glimpse of them no matter how many times you've been there.Saw U2 3 times there in the 90's also the Amnesty International gig in 1988,with Bruce Springsteen top of the bill, the guy was awesome.

New Wembley Stadium ? Would love to go if they play there on the next tour, but for arl arses like me,the "old" Wembley was just magical.Been there too many times for football / soccer games I lost count.I agree on the Millenium Stadium, would love to go there too........

Eminem and his 'crew' were due to play Slane in 05/06 but Eminem went off the rails and cancelled the gig. There was no replacement act.
