  1. The comments in here make it clear few people on this board have ever been to Omaha. It is actually a very nice midwestern US city with close to 1/2 million people. Yeah it’s small but it’s not some cowboy hick town. It actually has a great college/university scene between Creighton and UN-Omaha and many come back to the city for big events from UN-Lincoln to the south. Super liveable downtown around the Old Market area - lots of good bars and restaurants and loft/warehouse apartments.

U2 took a risk to play these smaller cities when they are way below their peak popularity. The show will still be plenty full.

And no, I don’t live there and am not from there or even live in the Midwest, but I have been there several times.
  2. I thought it was about "not preaching to the choir", like what's the point of repeating your political points in the cities where most people agree with you, so instead go to those places/states where you'll have more chance to confront the audience.
(obviously I don't know the USA that much to know, it's just what I thought first).

But now I like the WB theory better

Some over there on Edge's side of the stands, but some of those will be filled by the venue and it will hardly be noticable.

GA will be light but there were plenty of light nights on the 2015 tour too.

I'm sure they have been pulling entire sections from TM by now which they will tarp off.
  5. I wonder Does anybody mega rich or influential live in Uncasville
  6. CT is a very wealthy state. One of the dudes at my local pub/sports bar plays lacrosse in that arena. He flies there every weekend.

  7. Anyone ever seen Boystown? It's a movie about Omaha and a priest.
  8. Is anyone here actually from Omaha?

What type of weather are we looking at over the next 2 days?
    I'm driving out there tomorrow.

It doesn't matter what Omaha actually is, ppl from other cities will slag it because it's not there city.
