  1. I know we talk about overrated U2 songs a lot but I was thinking what U2 albums you would consider overrated. For me I’d have to say Boy. Don’t get me wrong its a good album but I’m shocked when I see people putting this one up in the top 5 over albums like atomic bomb, pop, zooropa, or SOE.
  2. Zooropa is the most overrated u2 album, 2nd SOE.
  3. To me Boy is not overrated but everyone here has an opinion. It is a bloody good debut album. If you look at it within the context of the time it was released and what he is singing about it you may see something different about it.
    If I had to really choose an overrated album by them I do not think I could.
  4. The Unforgettable Fire and war are overrated albums for me. Maybe more so TUF even though I rate war as a weaker album.
  5. Absolutely fine to discuss U2 albums in this way, but what I always find a bit difficult in these talks is what one defines as "overrated."
    Overrated by who? And by which standards? I mean, it's not as if there is this list that tells us objectively which album is best rated. Or is there?

    usually when I think about overrated I think it’s overrated by the fanbase because I don’t trust critics at all

  9. I think maybe Zooropa is a little overrated, especially the tour. My taste is in later U2 shows anyways.
  11. Keep in mind that overrated doesn’t mean its bad I listed boy as my overrated album but I would listen to boy over 90% of the music in the world its still a killer album I just think it gets too much praise when U2 has way better albums that are rarely talked about
  12. We’ve been agreeing a lot lately. Scary! Haha. And think TUF is their most overrated album with wat closely behind it.
