SOE has grown on me slightly but I still don’t like it nearly as much as SOI. I also listened through No Line recently as well and really enjoyed it. There are moments and ideas on that album that really make me feel it was a masterpiece in the making but got a little bogged down with overthinking and overproduction. It’s funny that the last few albums I’ve grabbed lately to throw on from u2 have been post 2000.
LOL... if you're in the minority, I can only imagine where that lands me... I really dig all 3 of aforementioned records. All have have their "lulls" (that's what I'll call them) But there's nothing that I dislike enough to skip through when listening... and when i'm pulling out the vinyl, no line usually wins over atyclb and htdaab...

SOI is in my top3 of all time favorite U2 records, if I am also in the minority, no problem to me.
  3. It’s possibly the case that we’re not in much of a minority in regards to SOI on the likes of these fan sites but in the wider public I’m sure we’re very much in the minority. Likewise though it isn’t an issue, I do sometimes feel like I want the band to get more praise for SOI but in the grand scheme of things it isn’t important.

Not to sound like a stereotypical vinyl guy but NLOTH without a doubt sounds way better on vinyl
