1. Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own
Miss Sarajevo (its good, but the best song on passengers is Your Blue Room)
40 - its a pretty average song. it works for what it is love but as a song its really overrated for me.

  2. Pride (overated by the band self), ISHFWILF, One, Mysterious Ways (but I love it live), LIBlindness and New Year's day...
I heard these songs too much
  3. "Please" and "Sometimes...."
  4. Maybe Sometimes musically but... It's about Bono's dad who died so i can't hate i have a lot of respect for rhat song

I wouldn't say it's over-rated, although I agree about having respect because of the context, but I think it's main problem is it doesn't come alive when being performed live as it does on the album (for me anyway...)
  6. Vertigo is studio crap, but it's fun live, the same for Elevation(I prefer Vertigo), I think they shouldn't play both or maybe none of them. Beautiful Day is the very definition of overrated I think.

I think Pride is overplayed but not overrated, in the 80's was great, but they've playing it the same damn way for two decades, give it a looong break.

Don't agree on New Year's Day, I can't believe people mention it and not Vertigo, Elevation or Beautiful Day, or that crap song named All Because of You which is even worst live . It's the first U2 really great song(along with Sunday Bloody Sunday) and it's groundbreaking live. I hope they don't play it when you go to a concert , but when I do, I definitely want to hear it. The same goes for Mysterious Ways, Until the End of the World(one of the best rythm guitar of all times IMHO) and even With or Without You(but without Bono's voice it's just not the same).

Also disagree with One, again it's overplayed(every damn festival or special concert) for us U2 fans, but definitely not overrated. It's one of Edge's best guitar work, and the lyrics are just beautiful.

Seriously, take a break from U2, then when you come back you'll really see what's overrated and what was just overplayed. Then if you still want overrated songs, just play How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb, it's full of it(except Sometimes and COBL... well Miracle Drug is not that bad either). And listen to whoever said 'bring back Pop', he knows what he's talking about. But this topic is about overrated, not underrated.

Oh, and don't even think of mentioning Streets, you blasphemers. Be grateful that Remy grants freedom of speech, if not...
  7. None.

A lot of the R&H stuff had promised but failed to deliver at the time in my opinion. U2 and brass doesn't really work e.g. WLCTT, although Angel of Harlem would be an exception. Desire has never quite done it for me (although I do like the ZooTV format, as long as MacPhisto wasn't singing lol...), the only one that I think was a genuine masterpiece was AIWIY, and perhaps Heartland aswell (Van Diemen's Land is a favourite of mine but in all fairness it's not amazing, it's just a great bit of solo work from Edge). God Part 2 was a bit before its time I think, with the whole "first Achtung Baby song" idea in mind and for me doesn't fit in R&H, Hawkmoon 269 is a good song but isn't all that great shakes for me, same with Love Rescue Me. Silver and Gold, meh. It's good, but I can't claim to listen to it as much as I do an lot of other stuff.

What's the next album you're going to rip to shreds?
