1. they are still young! look at the Stones, Roger Waters, David Gilmour....
  2. If we go to the "I could see them..." territory;
    I could see them quitting right after this tour, because they realize that they're "too old for that shit" (not everybody feels age the same, so not because Keith Richards can, means that Larry or Bono can).
    Also, I could see them still releasing albums and touring for the next decade and beyond, because that's what they love to do so why would they ever want to quit?
  3. one more album and tour finishing at slane castle
  4. not gonna happen---- i won't allow it ;-)
  5. When U2 is no longer relevant they quit.
  6. Dang, Bono is one year older than I am. I don't think they are nearly ready to retire... I know I've got a lotta years left to go! LOL
  7. When U2 will stop cannot be predicted. But if they stop, I expect they will just quit and will not have a farewell tour, which I would regret. But for now I am looking forward to Sep 4 Cologne, Oct 7+8 Ziggo Dome and Nov 10 Dublin. My first show of this EI tour was Nashville and was once again awesome.
  8. Thing is , bit like the stones, these bands of this level support full time staff of 200+ , they keep it going for them as much as anything else obviously plus the music , but I can see U2 going on like the stones have
  9. I think when Bono almost reaches the age of 70. So about 10 years from now, we the fans, will be happy if they still making good music. But I'm not sure about that. First a long stop after this tour. A new album and a tour. And a damned good LIVE album for commercial reason. Only 1 (UABRS) is too less. That's about 5 years from now I guess. Than we will see what's going to happen. U2 are not The Rolling Stones. So....
  10. I think once they all hit 60 thats it
  11. I hope they have 30 years left. I'd love to see them recording acoustic versions the hits of the 2030s with Rick Rubin, or the theme tune to the Cork Olympics in 2036.
  12. 30 years?
