The Stones have "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction", The Beatles have "Yesterday", The Doors "Light My Fire" and Led Zeppelin will always be remembered by most (not all!) by their "Stairway To Heaven". All signature songs. Like Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody", the mother of all signature songs...!
But what would it be for U2?
Streets? Beautiful Day? Pride? One? Sunday Bloody Sunday?
The other day I was listening to larryrulz' Uniondale audience recording, and I couldn't help noticing with how much passion
and dedication Bono was singing SBS. The song clearly means a lot to him and my respect for the song (and Bono) went even higher.
I mean, according to u2gigs, Sunday Bloody Sunday has been played in full over 900 times(!) already and then still that intensity and commitment...I mean: wouw…!
And each time it seems that a large part of the audience seems happily surprised to recognize the famous SBS guitar riff - or melody, or what ever

So I think "Sunday Bloody Sunday" is a good candidate to go down in history&herstory as U2's signature song.
But what do you think? What is the one song that most people* associate with U2? (Like what is U2's "Bohemian Rhapsody"?
* that is not the hardcore fan, regular u2start visitor...
