Audio recordings: 3

  1. I wouldn’t blame you. It’s something that we’ll be talking about for years to come.
  2. One more negative sorry.... bono introducing desire still makes me cringe although the actual song was better than in LI.
  3. Thank God for that.
Awesome show. I know I have complained about the lack of rotation, but the show is almost perfect as it is. I gladly jumped and shouted to almost all of the songs, being repeated and stuff.
Crowd was almost dead for the first 3 songs, but after IWF Bono had them in his hand.

Gloria is a great song live, they killed with it.
Acrobat was, as yesterday, one of the highlights.
UTEOTW-HMTMKMKM-Elevation-Vertigo got the crowd going. Even Desire was great tonight. Bono didn't mention his cringey weapon of mass devotion line. Some girl had a sign from the beginning asking to MacPhisto for his armonica in exchange of her soul. Bono, in full MacPhisto mode, gave the harmonica to a different girl a couple of feet away lol

Hearing those lines from Landlady before Best Thing was a nice little surprise. As he was ending his iPad got locked down and asked for the password. Bono didn't panic and just opted to start The Best Thing
Pride wasn't as powerful as yesterday, but that may be because Edge walked among the crowd just a few rows from were I was seating, so I went full crazy fan mode and started taking pics from where I was lol

American Soul is a monster live. It's in another level. The crowd goes nuts singing the chorus. Might be an American thing though. We'll see when they get to Europe.

And 13 was again, a great closer. Seeing him open the little house at the end is a great touch.

Overall a 9.0/10 in my books. As I said yesterday, some transitions don't work and SBS should be dropped for something else (RBW... coughcough), but the lack of variation isn't that much of a problem. You can't sit in your computer at every show and complain if you haven't been there. Of course, if you go to every show in every city and complain, well, lucky you who has the money and time to travel that much.

Great review, agree with almost everything!
Where were you standing? The energy was great during Blackout and lights of home where I was

  6. I was in the 103 section. Some old people in there that looked confused with the opening

  7. Also, Edge seemed to wear a totally different girl in his shirt. Younger Sian?

Pride for some reason gets the entire audience to their feet. Probably all the old timers that don’t listen to the newer stuff.

Agree with American Soul. Amazing song live.

The whole Iris/CR/SBS needs to go. It’s not that it’s bad, just been there done that.

Desire and Acrobat are amazing, but a lot of people say for Acrobat. Same old timers from above probably.

Blackout to me was amazing also, but I love that song. Looks so good live.

  9. Oooh ok I can imagine people being confused. I was on the main stage rail so people were going crazy 100% of the time. Too bad I comoletely freeze when I’m that close so I didn’t get many pictures and almost all are blurry
  10. Just checking in now that we’re back to hotel. Awesome show. My first show at MSG and it did not disappoint. Fun to be up in section 227 and still have most people on their feet having a blast for almost the whole time. An older lady and her husband next to us were singing every single song and dancing like crazy (as was I).

Highlights this time: The Blackout, both visuals and sound, is just fantastic. Crowd around us went nuts for IWF and Gloria back to back. UTEOTW sounded great as always. Everybody was partying to Elevation-Vertigo-Desire. That’s such a fun sequence. And SATS into Pride was excellent.

Still can’t get over how good Acrobat sounds! Wow. Clear standout for me even if it’s not as big of a casual fan crowd pleaser.

I continue to be in the minority with loving Best Thing. That Landlady snippet was such a tease, though.
  11. Glorious reviews. Thanks for your thoughts.
