1. Just another angle to look at perhaps what the managers are thinking rather than wanting to finish 2nd. If we ignore the draw and just take into consideration the 2 teams have qualified maybe it’s important to keep the big players fit for the later rounds. I would say an injury to Kane or hazard would significantly hurt each teams chance of winning the tournament. More so probably than a potentially harder draw in later rounds. So maybe it’s understandable they rest these players.

I'm still just focusing on one game at a time. I know if I win, I play Japan... If I lose I play Colombia. And I know the result if I draw as well... So, the way I see it... If playing to a draw or losing gets me Colombia, I'm going to play to win as I'd rather play Japan than Colombia. Not taking for granted it will be an easy task, either... I'd just rather play them given the choice.

And, the further you make it, the harder the draw will become any way you look at it...
  3. For the winner, the next game will be Colombia which is harder than Japan but then they're arguably in the much easier half of the draw if they beat Colombia; the 2nd place team will get Japan, an arguably easier game but after that is the half of the draw with Portugal, France, Brazil and Argentina

I think if you're thinking/looking that far ahead and not at the game at hand, you'll end up being the 2nd place team anyway...
  5. England right now

Oh I don't care who wins as long as it's not England xD
  7. At least there will be 0 flopping this game
  8. Maybe I'll check the Panama-Tunisia game to see goals.
