What we could end up with then is some decent quality on the field bought from other counties if the investment is there but a lack of homegrown talent which is really the best place to try and get your money back as well. I’m guessing there’s a lot of difficulty of trying to change that pay for play system, that sounds like something that definitely needs to go though to maximise the number of young players from the states coming through the ranks.

If you pull up and look at AU roster, it's an interesting mix. There are a few European/African players but the majority are from Latin America or here in the States... interestingly, quite a few local kids from here in the Atlanta area, also... about as home grown as you can get!

Well that bodes well for the future of the club then and sounds like a very sustainable business model particularly when they are able to get big crowds in to back it up. I would still like to see an end to that pay to play system but it’s good to see a good few local players coming through.
