3 of those 4 shows had the same setlist.
They used 25 songs among all those 4 shows, with Gloria the only change in Night 2.
Lady Gaga, Patti Smith and Bruce Springsteen were at those shows, but were never onstage.
At this point I even miss Pati Smith to come onstage and ruin a U2 song!

Don’t leave out Long Island... it’s less than 28 miles from Manhattan ... so that’s 5 gigs in the Metropolitan NY/Nj area .

the section next to me was literally doing this, part of it actually was still sitting from LIAWL to LOH before they all got up for IWF

I sent Nick a video , my entire section (107) sat for a majority of the show , including Acrobat. This crowd was not the usual U2 MSG audience. I had many older people ( and I’m old do take that for what it’s worth), dressed up with cards hanging around their necks or suit jackets. I felt like I was at a convention at the UN . Bono mentioned dignitaries being in the crowd . I think they were all in my section. Plus , when you charge $400 + that’s the type of people you will get , the hardcore fans are priced out .

I was going to write a review , but just flip back a few pages to my Friday night show .... it was a carbon copy ... lazy sets , overpriced tickets ... solid shows yes , but IMO 2015 was much better.
  5. What the fatwah? Salamn Rushdie and Bono's son in the house.

But in our section it were younger spanish speaking people... can't imagine sitting on a rock show in any spanish speaking country...

exactly like this... then sat down durinh The Ocean, stand up for SBS (this time electric)... etc... And sitting down during Acrobat was the worst...
  8. Did anyone catch Bono's 30 MSG gigs comment? He also mentioned Macgonagles so he must be reading u2gigs.com
  9. The Boss in the seats at MSG#3 …

That said, too well constructed with nothing special in the way of setlist variation, special guests or whatever. If i were a casual fan, would be very disappointed. And as a die hard fan, mildly disappointed that the greatest band in the world cannot change things up even a little bit. Play All I want is you once in awhile or Wild Horses or heresy I know, Streets. Any would work well in the overall set.

I’ve no doubt they considered alienating the casual fan when they were planning the set list, but it’s a risk they’ve decided to take. Based on reviews read here, the the consensus is a good solid show but not as good as other tours and missing something (the hits!) Hopefully they’ll reflect on this for Europe!

Same. Playing one extra song (replacing another) in 4 shows (not even counting Uniondale) is even unlike U2.
