1. When I come to the US...first stop is gonna be Best Buy. There's others like Big-W (kinda like Wal-Mart) where they sell lots of assorted crap, plus lots of electronics stuff.

We've got an IKEA near AAMI Stadium where U2 played in 2006 as well. That's some scary crap in there.

I'm not going to lie.....almost my whole apartment is furnished with IKEA stuff....great place to start out when you don't have a lot of cash to spend on furniture and the like.

But the Sweedish Meatballs aren't too bad.

The above photo looks like a nice little area. The bottom one does not - too bloody colorful. It's nice stuff but some of it is ridiculous.
  4. I totally agree. Some of the stuff just makes me go

Some of the designers had the right idea. The others were either drunk or stoned (or both).

    I think we're getting off-topic just a little.
  6. Alright, back on topic with a quick question.

I'm thinking of getting an iTouch (because I'm right into touching stuff and getting this year's big gadget as I always do), but I'm worried about the problems that affect the classics - though not being based on the same operating system and hardware it may well not. I dunno - I've only tried the iPhone not connected to any network, but then the touch can't really do that.

Does anyone have any advice - is it a goer or is it a major waste (don't just say it's good because it's Apple), and if so, is it still worth picking one up of either the 8GB or 16GB if you can get it cheaper than what Apple offers, brand new in its box and full warranty? I just don't want to buy it and then have hundreds of problems come up which shouldn't be there and then fight with Apple about the suckiness of it and have them tell me that I'm causing the problems. Also...does it have the weird split-screen on the nanos and classics and a clock screen saver that you just can't switch off, as well as the volume bug where you can't turn it all the way down - or as those Apple fanboys say, pause it.

If you have one, pop your comments in here. Other questions I have:

How long, on average, is the battery life? If it's over 20 hours then that's cool.
Can it connect to the Internet and if so, is that just by wireless?
Does it do gapless playback and how's the sound?
How easily does the screen or the case scratch?
Can you hack it to do things it usually can't easily enough?
Is the screen and buttons responsive enough (like it actually knows you pressed it)?
What do you get in the box besides a book, the touch and earplugs?
Is it an ugly operating system design or can that be changed?
Can you use it as a portable hard drive, or does the flash affect this in some way?
What apps are on it by default - like iTunes, Safari, YouTube, Skype, eBay, MSN...?
Will it work with my Media Center PC or not - I'm not too sure.
Does it do album art and show up the MP3 tags properly - like comments, artist, song etc.
What's the big square button on the bottom do? Does that turn it off?
Can it be locked in case I leave it lying around?
How many songs, on average at 192Kbps, can it roughly fit (plus maybe five or six videos)?
Can I still use my old classic games like Phase, Sonic etc?

    Enough?

I'll probably try it out first, but I want to know before I'm disappointed by it, like I have been by the classic.
  7. iPod Touch,Drew go for it brother. It's the sexiest bit of kit.Got mine at Chrimbo,it's the poodles plums mate.16GB version for me,get one, don't think about it,do it.If I got nothing to download,or can't be arsed with my Laptop,I'll just bang out the touch and surf on it.Safari is the browser,it's cool, lasts about 2 1/2 hours solid surfing.

At the mo,I got about 10 bootlegs audio, gapless, and about 5 video bootlegs.First one I put on was Vertigo Milan, says to meself "I'll just make sure it's ok"......no chance ended up watching it mesmerised by the quality.

As mentioned previous,I'll end up with an iPhone, but not until it becomes 3G.Some of the things that my moby can do now,the iPhone can't........go for it kid, well worth it.

I think Dan may reply in more technical terms for ya,but all I will say is it's awesome........
  8. As long as it's gapless, has a decent display and is like a PDA then that's cool.

I always do that, burn a concert DVD and say, I'll just check it out. But then I spend two hours watching it. At least it works!
