  1. Really happy with the show last night! It was a solid and decent U2 show.
Edge, Larry & Adam were pretty tight and didn't give Bono a hard time

Bono really seemed alright. Obviously he chooses his moments to like really
sing and strain his voice, but this was already the case in the States. In "One"
he had a beautiful falsetto at the end. Spot on!

The crowd on the floor and lower ring seemed really engaged and in to it (I didn't
have a good view on the upper ring, so can't speak for them!). We were in the seats
on the lower ring a little cross behind the e-stage. Great view! Everyone was standing,
singing and dancing almost all the time. Great atmosphere and real nice concert!

Highlights for me were Red Flag Day, the new New Year's Day, MacPhisto "speech"
and, believe it or not, Pride (In The Name Of Love) - just massive
SOL was pretty awesum too, but I think it will be better after a couple more takes

But the best thing was that Bono really seemed well recovered from, what I hope,
    was just a glitch...

PS: all smoke machines seemed to have been turned off
  2. Does Anyone know if the areas for standing ga left and right have been separated , and is it possible to go from left to right (when your friends have ga right and you have ga left) in cologne ? Thanks in advance!

Both areas seemed separated until 15 or 20 minutes to the show. Then they close the walkway to the e-stage and you can go to the other side (behind the e-stage that is).

But upon entrance, when wristbands are handed out (or at least supposed to be handed out!), you should be able to choose either "North side" or "South side" (no idea which one is Edge's, or Adam's though...). But you and your friends can all choose the same side

  5. PS: I REALLY enjoyed UTEOTW last night... Edge certainly was "on fire"

which is making me think it could easily be lumped into the first act. The problem is, it really belongs AFTER Iris, because that's the event that would require the stamina to "keep going" like the lyrics of Unforgettable Fire evoke. That's a problem because I don't see them separating Iris and Cedarwood at this point. Would be wild if they did, though.

All of the above considered, I guess my most confident guess would be as an encore opener or rotational song with New Years Day, since they aren't really rotating anything at all right now and will have to at least throw Gloria and ABOY back into the mix in Paris if they don't want to stop playing Red Flag Day every night. They're stubborn, but they will NOT play the same show four nights in one city.
I do see potential in replacing COBL with TUF...

    Spoiler (click to toggle)
New Year's Day seems pretty fixed for the remainder of this Euro leg with the flag and everything...

Yesterday they checked your ticket for left or right while handing out the wristbands. But if you just say the one or the other it shouldn’t be a problem.
    Left is Adam’s side
  9. good shot BigGIRL
