It's not spectacular, but I saw it live from Milan, on the dvd, and it was really great, maybe their best song that evening.

I've always had a soft spot for it. I can understand the knockers though, not a rocking U2 track in the classic sense, but emotional.
  3. well i was there in amsterdam when they played miss sarajevo for the first time
during the vertigo tour on 07/16/2005 and i think it's one of the best songs
ever written ...of U2 ( oke passengers !)
the whole crowd goes wild when bono sings the pavaroti part ......
  4. i think it depends on your country as to what is played out. i remember when i was graduating high school the radio stations played the heck out of beautiful day. when i hear it live it's the same thing.. tired. the one mix i do like is off of the milan bootleg during vertigo tour. it has an extra long intro and then srgt peppers lonely hearts club mixed in. this is the best yet.

i hate to say it but pride was getting a wee bit played out too. although when i listen to the album cut from u218 and best of 80-90 it sounds so good.

streets needs a new revival for the next tour. they didn't do a good job at all last tour.
  5. made my mind...it's... Even Better Than The Real Thing!
Don't hit me...but I just can't stand that song!!! Studio or live...
  6. Beautiful Day for me.

Cannot stand it at all. Ugghh.
  7. i'm not alone lol it just seems so bright and cheery not like the dark-basslined u2 i know and love. beautiful day and stuck in a moment are in the same catagory for me. they are songs that make the ladies happy. now on the other hand "one" this is a beautiful song. girly but great in my opinion. more depth. the part when the bassline and drums kick in.. takes off!

Ar Slane though with Bono's partially ripped voice. Fantastic
  9. Sunday Bloody Sunday and When love comes to town
    Love and peace

Well, it's not their greatest song ever, but I think it's ok. Lyrics are not great, but the music is funky and cool, and The Edge's solo came directly from outer space.

Ha, it's not that I can't stand it but it's not the greatest thing they've ever done I guess...

Hmmm, I think it's an uplifting song but not necessarily happy'n'cheery - Edge's part during the verse counterbalances any excessive "let's all jump off a cliff!"* tendencies, and for me it's great live...but like we always say on here, everyone's got an opinion and is entitled to say it.

    Well.

    Almost everyone...

*I don't know why you'd jump off a cliff when you're in a state of ecstasy but I never was one for literary accuracy/acuteness lol...
