    I thought it was part of the whole advertising slogan stuff, Coca Cola being called the real thing. Not that I thought that’s what the song was about but maybe how the title was inspired. Apparently virgin actually offered u2 a lot of money to use the song in an advert to promote virgin cola but the band declined.
