  1. "Liberty is just an idea..."

  2. I’m still pretty confident the rehearsed songs or some of them at least will find there way into the show eventually but the band won’t rush it just because they are playing 4 shows in the same city. I think the perfectionists in them hold them back from just giving the songs a go, they need to be very comfortable with them first.

Yeah, something like that. Plus they figure they play to different crowds each night...which is actually true...
  4. I think tomorrow night will be the best , they will be pumped to be leaving on a high

But they must get bored at some point right?? If you played the same 24 songs all the time wouldn't you??
  6. Anniversary of the attacks and all that.... but not expecting any special songs, just a long speech over the start of One
  7. OK...now that mixlr is really going downhill...
  8. I played in a band and always liked to make sure we changed the Setlist at least slightly between shows. But I know plenty of artists who would be happy sticking to stuff that’s well rehearsed, our bass player took a bit of convincing sometimes.

I get that but even so they've got so many songs they could just play in their sleep I mean is one song too much??

Yep I played in a U2 tribute band for 11 years we always made a point of changing the setlist up. It keeps it interesting to play different songs and U2 have so many great songs to choose from and I was the bass player haha
  11. That's why they play those other songs each night at the soundcheck....

    or:
    "It's a dirty job...but someone's gotta do it..."

    ...it's SHOW....BIZZZZZ
  12. It definitely comes down to the perfectionist side or maybe a critical term would be the overthinking side of the band. It depends what side of the fence you fall on when it comes to your view of the bands decision making. When the band I was in decided to change something the thought process and stakes of doing so were nothing compared to if u2 do it.
