I guess a lot of people just go to a show to rock out and have a good time but I don’t, however tonight has been exceptional, the best show of the tour for me by a long way.
Well, as a DH fan I can agree with you. However, I have a loooot of friends that like U2 and always want to go to their concerts with me. BUT - they always ask me, if they will play their biggest hits like WOWY, Streets etc. And when I told them no, this tour, they asked me if at least Vertigo, Elevation etc... we have to see it from a "normal" fan view. They want to hear the hits, not the special songs for DH fans..

I am always happy with any kind of set list change. All I am saying is that ppl love Vertigo, Elevation. Makes all arenas go crazy. Horses and Acrobat - ok songs, but why such hype? I just dont get it For me, there are 5-10 much better rare songs that could be played.

I don't get the Acrobat hype either. Nice song, but just don't like the rhytm. Wild Horses is a great song. Listen to the Temple Bar Mix or a Zoo TV live performance.

  3. So, now do I go for London tickets? I still haven't returned my Berlin2 ticket......decisions, decisions
  4. My my, what a wonderful surprise tonight! I kept thinking, 'OK, but NOW they're going to do the innocence part...' but THEY DIDN'T!!! What a switcheroo! In addition to the new stuff, I thought the band sounded brilliant throughout.

I do love Iris and Cedarwood Road, though - two U2 favorites of mine. I do hope they're not gone forever... Slot in The Ocean/Iris/Cedarwood before TUF/Stay/Wild Horses and give us 25 songs... please? (not really complaining, though -- when they finally mixed up this set, they really went ALL OUT!)
  5. Wait... this is the first show of the European tour I've missed and they actually changed the show a bit... wow
  6. Where was this the test of the tour. Ridiculous. Happy fir everyone going forward but seriously. They should of had this before the tour started. What a wasted opportunity to give fans two slightly different shows

Yeah I accept we need to see it from the overall point of view, I think it would be unreasonable to expect the band to play only rarities but I reckon they do always give the casual fans a fair deal. You could argue that by including so many new songs this is challenging people but by now people should know that’s the deal with a u2 show so if you don’t include the new songs really the Setlist features a fair mix of hits and rarities, the difference tonight I feel was the choice of rarities was excellent and in fact sort of merged over into both hardcore and casual fan territory with them being singles.

Hope that Innocence block is gone for good

I agree with you... However, the situation with this tour is a bit different. Since most of the ppl kinda knew already what to expect after the SoI tour and Joshua Tree tour.
