Tour: Experience and Innocence tour
Songs played: 23
Audio recordings: 1
  1. Wow, did they skip over a whole verse?
  2. I think at the end you see Larry and Adam looking at each other like 'yeah he ruined it again' haha.
  3. Must be a scary song to sing again after what happened in Berlin!
  4. No ticket needed I can confirm be back at 16.
Yesterday there was also some glitch inEBTTRT after it Larry put a hand to his head with a pistol simulation showing that to Adam and smiled wow!!!
  5. Did The Edge change the beginning of The Blackout?
Sounds like he plays some chords after the intro stopped?

I like it though, always thought the guitar intro to The Blackout was a bit flat (but love the song!).
  6. I'm a bit split. On the one hand, I think it's great that U2 is radiantly powerful at the moment and they are showing that in changing the song list. They seem to have found their way again and you can feel it. On the other hand, I like the songs of the album Innocence incredibly good and it's also a tour of the songs of innocence and experience. Therefore I would like to hear more innocence songs. But It does not really matter which songs come, the main thing is that we hear our boys. At least I am happy that they are back in shape now.
  7. I'm going to be in the minority on this. I like the songs they have added. But I sort of like the narrative theme they had before the changes. The only change that should have been made was taking out SBS just because the version did not work. Then interchange UTEOTW with Wild Horses on multiple nights. I thought opening with LIAWHL was cool and wish they had kept that.

The "setlist" is better from a song perspective but it throws the narrative theming off a tad to me. I guess both are cool but I liked the vibe the first leg had. I know I'm the minority on that, but I guess the original narrative theming idea was very cool and spoke to me! LOL

This is just another chapter in the narrative in my opinion. This is also why Bono tells such long stories before Zoo Station and Stay. They replaced the chapter of the story which tells about their younger years with the chapter that tells about a defining point in their career. They almost split up and yet they came back together again. This is what these Achtung Baby/Zooropa songs tell.

I even believe that it's part of the narrative that Bono goes alone to the screen during Zoo Station and at the intro of Stay, to show that he was indeed all alone. The band were miles apart. Then, Adam, Larry and Edge join one by one to illustrate them getting back together. The chapter ends with the four of them being as close as possible to each other performing at the top of their game, while the screen closes. A story with a good ending!

    Spot on!
  10. In the screen/Barricage Edge doesn’t have access to his usual tricks/pedal board etc. I believe Dallas operates effects from under the stage when Edge is out and about. It’s proabbaly pretty difficult to do wah though without being in charge of it. I think they struggled a bit with the new arrangement and not having Bono on guitar too. I’m sure it’ll get better over the next few shows.
