Tour: Experience and Innocence tour
Songs played: 23
Audio recordings: 1

  1. sure, but I think setllist changes are a bit overrated here. It's all about the passion they're bringing it with and also your own experience that make or break a show. They can even play Elevation 25 times in a row and still make a great show when they're on it and sometimes it's just not there.. I think that's the main difference. Of course changing things a bit could help the band to feel fresh and full of energy, but a setlist change in itself should not make or break a show. But I know some people think like that and I think that's a pity.
  2. Brilliant set list. Imagine saying that set list at the after a few shows of this leg.

  3. If I was a betting man I’d suggest this is probably the ‘definitive’ setlist for the rest of the tour with the only rotation being at slot 4 being between the 3 numbers they’ve been playing to date.

I don’t understand how the song changes couldn’t affect someone’s experience of a show. I would argue it wouldn’t matter what kind of passion they bring to the show if the songs aren’t good enough. I’m not saying the songs they were playing weren’t good enough but I would say the ones they are playing now are better and it’s a view I think is shared by many. To say the song choices aren’t important is to say every song is equal in quality and I just don’t think deep down anyone can believe that, everyone has a favourite or favourites. My favourite song is stay, an average performance of that song beats the best ever performance of elevation in front of the best ever crowd hands down because to me stay is just a much better song.

You’re not the only one!! I really wasn’t looking forward to that walk down Cedarwood Road - AGAIN.

Thank god someone (themselves? Willie? Gavin?) realised it needed hacking out and replaced it with perhaps the greatest run of songs since the opening of Zoo TV!

    Song For Someone anyone??

To be fair I was actually quite excited to hear Iris again.

And after Tulsa I loved that both SFS and 13 were in the setlist.
  10. I think it was the lack of the kind of stuff they’ve introduced recently as opposed to the inclusion of the Innocence songs that I was missing. I was agreeing over in another thread that some of the Innocence songs could have stayed and the could have got rid of certain other songs that have been played a lot in recent years. It doesn’t really matter though, I don’t miss the Innocence songs because what they’ve brought in is so good.
