* excellent but not phenomenal U2 gig
* I loved the narrative and the little stories. The narrative is a strength of the show but also a constricting weakness
* Starting in the screen not the best of ideas
* Favourites for me... Gloria, Stay and Wild Horses
* Get Out and City were better than I expected
* Good job with the flag, plus NYD was great
* I’m surprised they like doing Best Thing like that. It’s dull!
* It’s the first U2 gig since the 90’s that didn’t bring me to tears at some point, telling me it just lacks that emotional punch that only their very best songs can bring
* 13 was the only one that made we well up slightly. I’m conflicted on this ending as it’s theatrically a great book-end, but a flat ending for many
* Beautiful day - meh. The Elevation/Vertigo 1-2 I do kind of enjoy even though they are songs I would never play at home
* The band are playing phenomenally well, and Bono is sounding great. The increased amount of pre recorded backing vocals is really noticeable at times though
* My Mrs is far less of a fan than me (seen them 10 times though!) and she’s never shy with her thoughts! Too Achtung heavy for her, she missed the big JT tunes. Her fav was City surprisingly
Anyway, see you tonight when we will indeed be getting Vertigo on the back row of the upper tier!
