  2. Laughable yet mad at the same time.Saddest of all is how that Larry quote about the band getting bored playing to the same front row faces every night (think it was in 'U2 By U2') must still be true.
  3. I wish venue security would tell them that any little self-created numbering/ordering systems won't be acknowledged and that it's first come first served.But then there'd probably be a self-righteous riot, wouldn't there?

    Fan organised schemes like this probably suit the venue security. Mostly stops rival queues and the fans are typically well behaved.

    I know,and you're right,but the whole self-importance principle behind these fan-organised lines just galls me.Just venting,I know the GA situation is never likely to change.

    Yup. They have rigged the game to suit themselves and there's no value in it for anyone else to look at changing it. The shows ultimately suffer. If I was in a band and saw the same fifty faces in the same spots EVERY.SINGLE.NIGHT I just know I wouldn't be giving my best.
  7. Doesn't help when the likes of Dallas hands out plectrums to those on the rail. Maybe they should throw them into the crowd further back and allow a scrummage to unravel
  8. For the next tour maybe GAs could be sold with numbers - I'd be happy to pay €300 to €500 if it guaranteed me access to the rail by the e-stage just in front of Larry's drum kit so long as I was hand delivered my beer throughout the night!!! Lol!!! Live Nation missed a trick here!!!

    Exactly.I imagine the band just pretend they're not there and try to perform for everybody else.There's people with the time and means to follow entire tours obsessively,nothing much U2 (or any other artists) can really do about this.

    I'd feel a bit unnerved seeing the same faces every night in the same spots .
    Most of these people are not right in the head .

    The weather has taken a turn for the worse in Ireland
    Met Eireann forecast lashing rain, 'very unsettled weather' and freezing temperatures as low as -2C for the week ahead .
    Perfect for queuing.
