I know about Gone for elevation Boston but any mistakes that you can hear on bootlegs that have been edited out? (I feel like I remember a slight bass mistake from Adam for the 360 rose bowl show during magnificent being removed as well) And when they do that stuff do they always prefer to use not only visuals from other shows but also audio so that it gives it the natural live feel?

Edge played the guitar part right at the beginning of SBS at the Rose Bowl, they removed the guitar for the DVD.

There was something going on with Patti on the 3rd Paris show which was cut out.

And there was an error with Edges effect at the start at GOYB at Rose Bowl.

And like Paul said, The Electric Co from Paris 2 was really bad, and they did a damn good job fixing it.

Cheers Tim. I feel like going back and comparing the original versions to the edited versions.

The Unforgettable Fire was doctored for the rose bowl dvd too. They mixed it in a part from the Las Vegas performace. Compare the clips from the actual concert, the dvd and the October 23rd show

Listen, I think it’s laughable and quite honestly embarrassing. But imo, once you see the encore once, that’s more than enough. It’s the worst part of the show , by far. If I was u2 , I’d grow a pair, shut the god damn screens off for the encore and play 3-4 random songs and set the crowd out rocking. This way those imbeciles can see all the smiles of the people who stayed on their way out.

  6. Embarrasing

Bono was emotional during a good portion of the concert. And he showed it, I think his little snippet of The Miracle was a way of showing it.
And these people missed on that because of their need to be at the rail.

This was the view from my spot and I arrived there at 5 pm.

Now, unto the actual show. The revamped AB / Zooropa section is simply amazing. All of the songs get a great reaction, even Zoo Station which is I think the most obscure. Edge and Bono seemed to have made ammends after last nights The Fly, tonight Bono was very supportive as Edge finished. I almost cried during Summer Of Love.

GA is a different experience, some really annoying patrons, but most people are really into it. I still don't get the need to take pics of the whole concert. I took like 2

I love the encore but that’s a side issue, regardless of our opinions of the songs it’s disrespectful to leave early. If they played my 3 least favourite u2 songs at the end of the show I’d sit/stand through it, even if it was for the 10th time (and these people probably have been to at least that number of shows). I can actually sympathise more with the one time show goers who only really liked u2 20+ years ago and are just going for a good time and don’t want to hear 2 new songs 2 hours in, at least that’s honest (still disrespectful) but for someone who probably tries to claim to be a big u2 fan to leave 3 songs early to do the same the next night to attend the same show a few nights later, well I’ll let you come up with the terminology describe them.
  8. Ooh, what was The Miracle snippet in 13?? Sounds like a cool idea...
  9. What is wrong with people. No need. Stinks of disrespect. To both the band and the fans whether it’s their first or 100th show. People on here have said they’ve turned up a few hours before and ended up getting a really good spot. Majority of those on the rail are on their phones the entire time. That’s a big F you to the band.

How about on Friday they go all out and do a big F you by doing something special in the encore? Even if it is a Landlady or something.

Three more shows. Three. And that’s it. This tour, despite the stale set lists is something special. Enjoy it. This is the last time we’re going to see them for a while.

  10. I watched maybe 4 videos of last night's Fly looking for this conflict between B&E but everything seemed fine? Edge messed up a couple of notes in the middle solo but I didn't see any reaction from B at any point in the song, or after?
