1. Mine, as mentioned earlier, was Hands That Built America...I saw Gangs of NY...I came out of the theater, everyone was talking about Day-Lewis and DiCaprio...I was asking everyone: Did you just hear that song in the end?!! Who were those guys?!...God bless the internet for answering the question...

I was already Queen fan. It's funny, if you ask anyone who remembers watching Live Aid the two bands they remember are Queen and U2 for obvious reasons.
  3. It was Sunday Bloody Sunday, at least that's the one i can remember... and i dont rememberif i liked the song. I was young back than, but i remember watching it on MTV.

No, both are here to stay

Eeeeeeh amigo is just something I concocted on the spur of the moment and it sounds relatively crackpot and ridiculous, hence why it's taking centre stage for the moment. I shall not disband with the "lol" though, I'm afraid...

And Dan, re. your last comment - so cynical!
  9. haha, ask my dad he's been playing u2 since I was a baby.
though he often tells me how he played 'still haven't found' while he picked
me up from the kindergarten - so maybe that's the one
  10. First time I heard U2 was in March 26, 1982. A friend took me to see J. Geils Band - U 2 were the opening band!

Pretty damn cool, interesting and fun, is what I thought of them. The bass player with the blonde afro, energetic singer, guitarist with that 'odd' shaped guitar (Edge's Gibson Explorer) and a drummer that didn't look much older than me at the time...

The first song I heard by them was probably Gloria - as that was the opening number around that time period.

Now THAT, my friend, is one cool experience to treasure. Damn my youth lol...

  12. Pride when it was on the Simpsons. It just happend that the first time I saw that episode, was right around when they were playing alot of U2 on pop up video.
