  1. Excellent performance of Dirty Day.

And on a New Years Day we will have to stay with the EU ffs.

It was a Beautiful Day until his mom passed.
  3. Bono fucked homself eith the wring key from the first verse. Could never get on top of it. The middle 8 not a patch on what he was belting out in rehearsal.

When everything needs to be ‘narrative’ then the whatever the real narrative is gets lost.

People trying to interpret these converts like a critic looks at a classic painting. It’s crazy.

  5. when you see this

Yea but if they drop the narrative, they have to play the actual song. Instead of talk us through it. What a wasted opportunity.
  7. I like it..how long ago was this last played?
So to hear it live is unbelievable..
maybe cut down a little bit on the talk but
I liked what bono was saying and the visuals
are great .he's actually singing it in a higher
Register instead of the low key talking voice.
which is actually cool. Maybe they will get it
More finely tuned with a late afternoon rehearsal. Edges guitar could come up a bit as the drone synth key in D is a bit high in the mix
Imo. . Anyways amazing to hear this in the set

    +1
  9. Bono made a comment to Adam at the end when they were saying goodbye “Friday night - could be a Tuesday night”. I assume this was a dig at the crowd who were as dead again as Monday and Tuesday
  10. I have to say it. I've been silent for a while instead of participating in discussions like I used to because of the change of atmosphere around since the last album and tour started. I wont be coming back to this forum\site as the relentless negativity becomes unbearable with time.

And I'm not talking about negative opinions on the band's work, which is of course perfectly fine. I really dislike the encores myself and I'm glad to discuss that, for example.

I'm speaking of the hostility of some people commenting. Hostility towards other opinions and towards the band. I saw some days ago someone say "fuck these guys for X thing I don't like" referring to the band. I don't think insulting other members is allowed on here, would insulting U2 be ?

Some of you will never be satisfied by anything from the band anymore in any way, and it feels like following U2 is bad for your own mood, so I suggest stopping, really.

Sorry for the long ranty message, I really didn't want to make it about myself or anything, just felt it needed to be said. Most of you here are really lovely people and that should be said too, I enjoyed these forums a lot ! Hope all the best for this community ?
  11. Did he snippet the Miracle last night?
