Yes, I have heard that before...The melodies and the backing vocals are very beatles-esque.

Very much so. I thought Beatles the first time I heard it and, and funnily enough I thought it had an Oasis flavour to it also. It's an ok song.

That was actually my first hearing the song, very revolver-esque.

I also think it's a bit of a Beatles-style; it's great how Bono sings these high notes in the couplet. Love it, but it won't become a classic like Streets and WOWY.

I think it could be a strong song live, don't think those 3 performances gave it enough time to grow. maybe they'll bring it back on the next tour
  7. I always thought it sounded a bit like Led Zeps softer songs. Think "Going To California", if it had falsetto and piano.
  8. I'd go as far to say it's one of the best songs since Pop was released.

It kinda sounds Beatle-ish to me. Reminds me of "Let It Be", actually.

    Good words..

It really grows on you if you give it a chance. Much like Pop really....

Here here cap'n. I always liked it but I don't think it's mindblowing, but the Pop comparison is all too true. However, I think The Hands That Built America is the best non-album release - amazing song.

I shall revisit it on your recommendation; can't say it ever stood out for me that much when it came out. Don't think it's even on my iPod....
