  2. Unfortunatally for the crowds Hamish had to turn on the stadium lights as to get better recordings. And what an effect he achieved!! His light-blinding shots are great and way up to the level of Joanou.


    My god. Phil can direct - Hamish cannot. I'm sure he's a nice enough guy but for the love of god, practice your skills before you use them in public.




    The guy on my left has the right idea...he didn't use this director for Live at Montreux 2005.

  5. I wrote a song about the conflicts in the middle east, and made a refrence to BTBS in it. None of my buddies got it. Combine that with my tendency to write lyrics that make weird melodys, and its a miracle they liked it at all.

    I just make up songs on the go, and sometimes add U2 references as well.

    "Hangin' by my thumbs", "So beautiful tonight", "But if you don't know"...those sorts of references.

    Hell yea...I LOVE the shots in R&H. He hasn't got enough of the audience, and it's mostly the band...but at least you get to see what the hell's going on before switching to another shot which is probably from another night and even another song.

  9. The sound's still good, the filming is nothing short of brilliance and, well, it's just too good.

    Usually I'd argue black and white is a poor way of filming, but it's done so well and the performances are beautiful I'm not worried in the least.

  12. I note the fact that two shelves are taken up by U2 releases, but it makes me happy. Or 75% of your MP3 player is taken up by those official releases.

    When I start listening to a band or singer, I tend to get everything ever recorded by them possible.
