1. I'm actually in a bit of a metal period. Works if the new albums going to be like they say.(I have no idea how there going to combine metal, dance, and trance. Whats next? Pink Floyd style 20 minute instrumentals?)

I love 20 minute instrumentals and jam sessions. Check out Sunset In Colours on the Salome outtakes (almost 15 minutes). That's pretty long.

But maybe it'll be a new genre: Metadatrance? Who knows.
  3. U2 is cool, but I dont think there cool enough to start a new genre.
  4. I guess I'm in a Boy sort of state at the moment. Last year I was in a bit more of a Pop/War state of being.

Know Miracle Drug from Chicago 09-21-2005? Bono speaks about Edge coming from the future...Adam, Larry and Bono ask him how the future looks like. Edge said: 'It's better'...love that..... It will be better...
  6. So if your from the future, can you tell me how my love life looks? Also will my band make it?
  7. Why doesn't anyone in this topic mention Rattle and Hum? 'Don't you consider that pearl as a U2 album I take that one for me.
  8. If I had to list it as a mood/part of life/whatever the hell else, I'd say its when you think your all that so you take a stupid risk and fuck up. I persoanally like it, but thats how lots of people think of it.
  9. I left out R&H on purpose cuz I couldn't readily think of how it could reflect a mood or place in life. Not as where the band was at that particular time but what the mood of the album was. Plus, I wanted people to find their own interpretations from the album/eras.

Like Achtung Baby, everyone seems to relate to the party-hard, experimental feel of it but no one's related it to it in a bleak, heartbroken way (it was afterall birthed in part from Edge's personal issues at the time).

    C'mon, where's YOUR interpretations?

Hopefully much, much better interpretations then this

Just to clarify, that's how you'd describe Rattle & Hum?
  11. Got a better interpetation. To this day lots of people think of it a self indulgence album.
  12. How to describe R&H? I'd say it's when you try to bring everything together, to try and mark the point in life that you've reached, but you're unable to use it successfully as a stepping stone to progress from because somewhere along the line you got the trajectory wrong and it's more appropriate to make a fresh new start...perhaps?
