    60 bucks a year isn’t nothing and the gifts have been mostly shit for a while now...plus who knows if the incentive of presale tickets will ever necessary again anyway

  5. After the last tour being in the top tier is even questionable for securing GA.

    Given the number of differing pre-sales it was evident that a number of GA's was held back for non fan club pre-sales.

  7. Her performances with u2 have been legendary for all the wrong reasons, she completely ruined the ending of bad with that Gloria snippet and when she joined them for Mothers of The Disappeared in 2017 it was a shambles.
  8. Totally agree - I paid my subscription but think it's unnecessary at this stage just to secure GA tickets - had no problem picking up GAs on U2start for this last tour - Berlin, Amsterdam, Belfast, Dublin and Berlin 3! This year's gift looks decent to me though?!
  9. So unfair on Ms. Smith. I have to say I quite liked her contributions to the respective performances. Given the location and what occurred in 2015, her incantation of People Have The Power lyrics over Mothers in Paris in 2017 gave the track a certain relevance. There may well have been relatives of the Bataclan victims present in the Stade de France.

  11. Here’s my problem, when Patti Smith does her own thing I don’t slag her off I just don’t listen to it because it’s not my thing. However when she joins my favourite band on stage then proceeds to ruin the song I’m going to criticise it, she can’t sing, I don’t know what it is she does but it’s definitely not singing. I’ll never be able to unhear her voice repeat the words ‘here their heart beat’ horrendous. Thankfully it wasn’t a show I attended.

    Not as bad as when Bono does guest spots or covers and makes up his own lyrics .The version of Bad with Patti Smith on the Paris DVD is far superior to the one from the main concert and People have the power is much better than the version with the hideous EODM.
