1. I am thinking about it... haha

  2. U2 have their WMD - The Edge.

    Weapon of Mass Devotion.

  3. When do you need to tour again? Or do you ever need to tour?

Adam: You mean like that kind of itch that needs to be scratched? I don’t know. It’ll be when we make a record.

This is what I expect it to look like, based on the info from U2songs, the guy here on the forums and some common sense with regards to how U2 does tour scheduling (two day breaks between cities is something they have done for the last few years and I expect it to be the same here):

    8 & 9 Nov - Auckland, Mt Smart stadium
12 Nov - Brisbane, Suncorp Stadium
    15 & 16 Nov - Melbourne, Marvel Stadium
19 Nov - Adelaide, Adelaide Oval
    22 & 23 Nov - Sydney, Allianz Stadium
    26 & 27 Nov - Perth, Optus Stadium

    30 Nov & 1 Dec - Singapore, National Stadium
    4 & 5 Dec - Saitama, Saitama Super Arena
8 Dec - Unknown city, final show(s) (Seoul? Macau?) -- if Seoul, expect an indoor arena as its winter!

U2's itinerary has been pretty predictable the last few years with fixed breaks between cities. Most of the venues are known, the number of shows per city is known for the first part of the leg and we know that Tokyo will get two as well.

I think he’s referring to touring markets where they have already toured their most recent album. They haven’t toured in Australia behind the last two albums so that logic applies to this tour.

Yeah I think the comment he made about when you feel you’re wanted was perhaps more significant, of course in the rumoured locations the band will have been missed and as a few of us have mentioned they could release a greatest hits with a couple of new songs. Not exactly a ‘new’ album but a new release. I don’t think the interview confirms or denies the tour though it can just be spun to whatever suits your thinking.
  8. it's just a bit of an evasive answer, he's talking about his personal (or the bands') need to tour again and I'm sure that itch he's talking about will not be there for a while... But also I think that doesn't mean there will be no Australasia tour. They don't necesarily need that 'itch', it's just something they need/want to do from another motivation.
  9. @PogMoThoin really acts like a child.

This rumour thread is to discuss the rumours that are going around since November 2018.

Of course, not believing the rumours is a valid opinion, and no-one is denying those opinions. But even if the rumours are proven to be wrong, at least U2Start has given the opportunity to discuss them.

@PogMoThoin please be reminded of our house rules:

At some point your repetitive mocking and ridiculing could be regarded as both insulting and aggressive. And that point might be closer than you think.
  10. One week to go then!
  11. I'm with you @BigGiRL..it's one thing to express a contrary or sceptical point of view but there is no need to be repetitively churlish.
  12. I hope the plans stay on track for this tour. All you fans down under deserve something special, and it’ll be great to get some new shows!
