Haha, true...but he's much better than anyone else that has ever hosted the show.
That's true.

Did you check out that new UF boot upgrade yet?![]()

Not yet. Might grab it tomorrow. Worth it?

Oh yeah. For sure. I've been on a quest for a few months trying to find a complete, high quality show from that tour with ASOH, and this one is the best I've seen. Quality is just under what Dortmund is, but a full setlist.

I've been doing the same for the Zoo TV tour, with Still Haven't Found closing out the regular set... and stated the obvious in a topic earlier (a habit I thought I broke free from)![]()

Thank you good sir! A friend of mine made in fun of my Irish accent eariler, and it got me into thinking about how someone sees something in one another's shoes. Led me to the 'state the obvious thing'.

Well, it's good to have you. How's it going?

Kinda good. I'm lost with a few things.
Like how such a good sounding boot can have such a bad performance (and with a dream setlist). The case being 1997-06-01 East Rutherford. During Even Better Than the Real Thing, Bono sounds like an out of tune teenager with the lines "gimme one last chance, you won't be denied". Was he battling a cold or is this why Pop is marred?
Or how Zoo TV's best performances are claimed to be during the Zooropa-Zoomerang tours, and the only North American show that challenges such best performances is D.C., which I now know down to the last chord 9I listened to it so many times). Any others from 1992 that I could find?
Lastly, I enjoy the Stockholm 1992-06-11 show. Was this ever recorded on video?
Other than that, how's the weather on the west coast?

Are you downloading torrents? That's where I got my copy of that 6.11.92 show. (http://www.achtungbootlegs.com/index.php?nav=250&bootId=2846) There are two versions, one full color, one sephia version. If you're not able to download torrents, you can try http://www.iwillfollowu2.com It's a good site to start out a collection of bootleg DVDs that can get you into trading.
Haven't listened to that East Rutherford show, so I can't really comment on it. I will say, however, that Pop is one of my absolute favorite albums. I can't believe the bad rap it gets....![]()
Maybe they needed some time to figure out how to make ZooTV really work, so that's why the later shows are better. I'm sure some of our other members could recommend some good stuff for you. I've never listened to this show, but I know this Tacoma show gets a lot of good reviews.

Actually I'm into the torrent scene. Never heard of Achtungbootlegs.com, will check that out.
As for Pop, I've got the album, hopefully I'll give it a proper listen this vacation. The thing is I'm looking for an awesome PopMart show with Sweet Caroline as the Edge karaoke song.
True, but I've given Stockholm a second chance. Thing is there are two parts I'm not cool with. Zoo Station starts off alright, the only thing being Bono's screeches during the first few lines. During Mysterious Ways the intro just doesn't sit right. Don't know why, it just does. Other than that, A+ show. I heard the Tacoma show, and it's alright.
it's late where I am, night y'all!![]()
