  1. This topic I can't believe that people still think there will be no tour.

  3. I can say with certainty from a source I can't name but I find to be incredibly reliable that this is definitely happening (in Australia anyway)
  4. I think part of it is out of embarrassment at being so wrong in claiming it definitely wasn’t going to happen, which carried on for months. Nothing wrong with saying they didn’t think it was going to happen but it went as far as mocking almost towards this site, u2songs and anyone in general that believed the rumours, its almost a case of bad losers.
  5. U2 could literally be in the middle of a Joshua Tree Tour 2019 show and the same few people here would still say there is no tour!
  6. I am no longer in the ‘it’s not happening’ camp ... I believe the tour is going to happen, what I am protesting about is the misguided use of ‘sources’ (who sprang the rumour originally ) and the ‘its definitely happening’ type mentality that has worn a lot of people down. NO ONE apart from the 4 Irish lads themselves know if this is 100% happening , it might be 99% over the line, but that’s still not 100% !??!? Yet some here are acting like they ARE the four Irish Lads and know more than the band themselves !!

    Throw in the sarcastic attitude - mainly from those in the Northern Hemisphere - towards those like myself who had doubts about this tour originally or still do have doubts and it becomes grating!

    Northern Hemisphere punters have had ample U2 overdoeses while we down here in the Southern Hemisphere continue to suffer with this agonising stop start stop start expected announcement so the ‘sarcasm’ isn’t appreciated!

    All said with the greatest of respect also!

    You think only the 4 band members would be aware that they were about to embark on a tour? That’s absolute nonsense, they’ve got a huge team around them that need to be made aware in advance of a tour, venue’s management will know as well, literally hundreds of people will probably know for a fact it’s happening. You were the one way back dismissing the rumours as nonsense and now you want to back track and start moaning about how we discuss these rumours, you can’t handle that you were so wrong in the first place and now you are taking it out on the site and it’s users.

    Here’s just one of the comments you made before it became clear the tour was happening. You tell people to wake up as if they were stupid but yet we’re not allowed to use sarcasm? Not that I used sarcasm in the example you gave above. I do think you are embarrassed by comments like the one I’ve quoted and instead of just going fair enough I was wrong you’ve taken the sore loser route and started criticising the way the rumours are reported.

    Completely aware that there is more to U2 than four legs to a table .. again u have missed my piont completly !

    And as for my outburst two months ago I have unreservedly apologised for my behaviour , but hey let’s bring it up again shall we?
