    Guess I signed up sometime in March, before the initial announcement was due.
  8. Maybe. Maybe not. Are we gonna wait forever? We might see within the next two weeks, I guess. If there are further "delays" for whatever anynymous or rumoured or guessed reason, I think, nothing will happen. So: Either things really are planned, organized, set in stone - then you do not have to search for any kind of "perfect moment", you just have to annouce. In a presale there is no time to lose. Or ... nothing. Still keep my fingers crossed for you guys Down Under, for the land of the long white cloud and in Asia, that everything will have a happy ending for you!
  9. Friday announcement with Pre sales starting on Monday. Public sale then on the Friday.
  10. I doubt they are starting presales on a Monday. Maybe they'll stick to their original schedule, which is Wednesday/Thursday/Friday.

    I get the impression that people think the timing of the announcement is up to U2. Live Nation is a multi level organization dealing with many events, artists etc. Yes U2 has some pull there due to the size of the band, but Live Nation do still have to assign people to work on this project which will take them away from other things.

    Announcement writers, graphic designers, translators, technical staff updating websites, someone communicating with the press, etc. There's a lot of moving pieces when it comes to an announcement and the launch of a tour. And you have to have the staff ready to deal with things after it is announced as well as you will quickly go into presales and sales. Each venue is going to have to be ready with ticketing, local presales, etc. U2Com will have their team answering questions and assisting where they can. Some venues still do in person ticket sales and need to ensure they have the windows staffed. Even U2s manager Oseary likely has a bunch of things to juggle right now as his other main artist Madonna is launching a new album and a tour.
