Joshua Tree Tour 2019
Legs (1): New Zealand, Australia and Asia
Shows: 15
  1. Friday in Australia, sure.
  2. Facebook activity shows U2 updated their website address several hours ago. I cant really see that anything has changed but does activity mean they're expecting high volumes of people looking at their page i.e. tour announcement?

    I'd say it's happening.
  4. It’s look like the only chance is Friday!

    Unless an announcement delay again...
  5. Agreed, but honestly whether its dark or not doesn't really make a difference to me.

Seeing the show 3 times, the hype you build up just SEEING U2 walk out on stage and begin to perform is substantial. They give you solid hits, 4 in a row, and right as you're in the thick of your excitement, the screen fades to red, the organ begins...

And well, we know the rest.

It elevates (no pun intended) the excitement so much to already be kicked into high gear and let that moment happen so early in the show. It worked flawlessly IMO.
  6. Would hazard a guess of it not being until Monday, if it's imminent as expected.

With pre-sales then beginning on Wednesday, which would be inline with the times from the first leak regarding announcements and ticket sales.
  7. I will add, my girlfriend saw the show with me in Kansas City. I watched her stare in awe, and as the first verse kicked in and the actual street became visible on the screen, she turned and only said, "I get it now"

She also later quoted The Office - "I feel God in this Chili's tonight."
  8. why? The band have announced tours on weekends before. Australia 2010 was announced on a Sunday. (Not saying it is happening on the weekend, just asking why it can't be the weekend...)

I also ask 'why not a lemon?'
  11. Kind of the transport of the future.

Not just for lemon enthusiasts but for lovers of all citrus fruits!
