    If you asked me with no time to think about it I would have said most U2 songs were in D (or Db but played in ), I wouldn't have guessed most U2 songs are in E or A (or Eb and Ab for that matter), but now that you mention it there's an awful lot of them out there in these keys. Most of R&H, AB, Pop and ATYCLB is, actually! Funny

    Haha thanks, this is probably the only place this is welcome rather than dreaded, but then again I guess that's why we're here! In A, E and D you can manage a lot of open string things and things with harmonics; a lot of U2 has an underlying drone kinda feel which goes back to old Irish folk music, which I always think I'd a really nice tie in - (one of) the biggest rock group(s) in the world basing their music on old folk traditions from the homeland; there's a few articles out there about it
  5. Was enjoying it until the Michael Buble lookalike and friends came in singing; then I gave it away. I still think Scala & Kolacny Bros did the best cover of WOWY.

    Same. It was a trainwreck in the end. A pure instrumental cover would have been better

  10. This is a good cover. Could be the best U2-cover I have heard. Anneke Giersbergen sings in the Gathering. Seeing them soon in Zoetermeer, the Netherlands.
