    Yeah, would have been a good place to see the show from the seats. Maybe they thought it was a bit small, & didn't want to do 3 nights there.

    Elton John's tour certainly looks interesting with all sorts of venues being used. From wineries to stadiums!

    He's using 3 different venues in Sydney! Starting with theatre shows in Darling Harbour in December. Then arena shows at Qudos Bank arena in January. Finishing up with a stadium show at Bankwest in March. Pretty cool for his fans.

    Would be great if U2 farewelled Australia with a similarly diverse residency here. Yeah dreaming, not going to happen
  3. Just bought GA ticket for the Saturday show still can purchase different categories on ticketek

    I’m now going to see in Melbourne for the first time and then a week later in Sydney can’t wait

    Yeah, you can purchase tickets in every price category. They've been chopping & changing the price of seats. With reductions over the last few weeks. Some great bargains to be had, including many CAT 5 ($62) seats that were previously CAT 2 ($285).

  6. Nope; it will be the first (and hopefully only) time they have played at this venue; it's rarely been used for concerts over the past 10-20 years.

    Zoo-Tv and Popmart were both at the football stadium right next door but that is currently a pile of rubble due to a highly contentious demolition and rebuild. Vertigo and 360 tours were at the Olympic Stadium, while the the TUF and Lovetown tours were at the Entertainment Centre. This latter venue has also since been demolished.

    So the pattern is 2 tours at a venue and then change.

  8. Dynamic price reductions for Sydney 2 are at extreme levels now.

    Bay 30, was CAT 1 ($365), now CAT 5 ($62). Just the final few rows atm. As it's concourse (lower bowl), there's a chance of some obstruction from a sound booth, depending on where the booths are located, but should be ok as these are $365 seats for Sydney 1.

    Its bloody shameful what Livenation and that creep Oseary are doing .
    Trying to extract every dollar they can out of the fans.

    Starting with sky high prices and having to drop them faster than a prostitutes knickers.

    U2 should be selling out these gigs with ease but instead they have tried to rip off fans and Livenation are going to have to slash the prices and dump tickets in some venues.

    This is kind of the norm in the industry now.

    If you sell out immediately, your prices are too low.

    But I agree, it's not good.
  11. Leaves a bitter taste when FOMO has you shelling out big bucks to secure tickets that go for less than half that price later. Discounting in the last week or even month before would be more palatable but we're still 11 weeks out.

    If it happens to you once it's Livenation's fault.
    If it happens to you twice you should have learnt & it's your fault.

    FOMO can be beaten by having a cold mind and knowing that you'll bet getting cheaper (and probably better, if we talk about seats) tickets later on.
