    I would say U2... seems to be a good band, don't know if you ever heard of them...

    With Instrumental, I mean no vocals at all. Like the Electrical Storm Instrumental Version. I know Dream Theater, but that's more metal than rock. Muse is interesting, but not exactly what I'm looking for.

    It was recommended on Myspace a while ago by a profile professing to be Edge, dunno if it actually was and I doubt it lol but that's not important, the fact is this band are awesome in my humble opinion

  8. Don't know what you mean by symphonic, but listen to King Crimson, Dream Theater instrumentals and Liquid Tension Experiment. Great stuff.
  10. its mostly Christmas stuff, but the Trans Siberian Orchestra. great stuff, and if you haven't hear of em, start with Carol of the Bells

    I think he means more like epic, grandiose kinda music, not necessary orchestral...BIG SOUNDING stuff, synth, epic guitar tones etc.
